Google recently announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition which was a “AWW” moment for many techies around the world. In many reviews of Galaxy S4, it was not very technologically advanced than Galaxy S3 but it was certainly not a let down.
With the release of Galaxy S4 Google Edition, people are asking what is difference in this version ?
- One of the main difference between the two is the absence of Samsung’s user interface in the Google Edition. It dumps all of the Samsung Wizardry in the Google Edition and loads it with pure Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. S Beam will become straight Beam, there will be no S voice, no Smart Stay, no Smart Scroll and no S Health. Just a clean Android version with more space to offer to the consumers unlike Samsung’s S4.
- Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be provided with timely updates from Google. You will not have to wait for Samsung to release a new update.
- Samsung’s Galaxy S4 has been highly criticized for the memory space provided in 16 GB version of Galaxy S4. But now as Google cleans up the Samsung software, we might be seeing more space in the Google Edition. Also Google Edition will allow external MicroSD card.
- The Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be available at Google Play Store for $649 on 26 June, so it is going to work on any network. The Samsung Edition will cost you around $800 for unlocked version.
Well, if you want to experience amazing Samsung’s software, then Samsung Edition is best, but if you want more space and want to experience true power of Android, Google Edition is best. Unless you are not worried about the pricing of both the models. Which will you choose ? Write us in comments.
