Wavii, a popular mobile app was acquired by Google for $30 million. Wavii uses NLP to produce structured data from news sources, presenting that in a Facebook style timeline. After many reported rumours by VentureBeat.

Wavii was founded in 2009 had raised $2 million in funding from investors including Max Levchin, Dave Morin, SV Angel, Felicis Ventures, Mitch Kapor, Fritz Lanman, Max Ventilla, Shawn Fanning, Rick Marini, and CrunchFund.
