Chelsea has open up the big suspence price it can offer for the world’s best no.9 Atletico Madrid’s
top striker “Falcao” . A source close to the owner of Chelsea Roman Abramovich confirms that Chelsea is not going to more than €35 million for Falcao.
“Chelsea would go to 35 million euros but I don’t believe they would go higher. The owner is fed up paying inflated prices,” a source close to Roman Abramovich told ESPN. Didier Drogba’s summer departure was supposed to allow Torres to finally flourish after a miserable start to his Chelsea career following his €62m move to Stamford Bridge in 2011.
During the whole premier last season Torres majorly was mere a gem on the substitution bench by given the reason of not being in form. Although the striker never gained the same form as it was at Liverpool when he moved to Stamford bridge , this season he showed the points of recovery by 4 premier league goals and as a play-maker to Oskar and Mata.
A possible move of Falcao to Chelsea may be very positive for Chelsea contender-ship for the cup but iit can surely create a problem for Torres which he faced previously during the period of Didier Drogba . It will surely make him no.2 choice at the club.
On the other end Atletico Madrid is no where willing to sell Falcao for any price less than €60m “Falcao’s €60 million ($77.2 million) would solve a lot of our economic problems,” Gil Marin said on Spanish radio station COPE last week. Now it would be very interesting to see which club is going to win the best no.9 signature for there future.
Why “Falcao” is the best no.9 ?
After a blistering 2010-11 season, which saw his remarkable tally of 17 goals in 14 Europa League games break Jurgen Klinsmann’s European scoring record (15) and fire Porto to glory in the competition, Falcao has established himself as one of the most fearsome and coveted strikers in world football.
Moving from his native Colombia to River Plate as a 14-year-old, Falcao was relentless in his desire to become a professional footballer and his battling spirit – coupled with netting two goals on his debut – quickly won over the Argentinean fans, who nicknamed him El Tigre – The Tiger.
2012/13 Spanish La Liga
It surely does revel about the phenomenal ability of the Colombian striker and thus proves the point of all the clubs searching for his signature.
